Help 'Feed Branford Kids' In February With Canned Tuna, Chicken
Drop off canned chicken or canned tuna to the Town Clerk's office at Town Hall to help make sure no Branford kid goes hungry.
BRANFORD, CT — We're sharing what we saw shared by Branford Parks and Rec on Facebook:a flyer by Branford Town Clerk Lisa Arpin. Because kids matter. And having hungry kids is not OK.
The monthly food collection to benefit non-profit agency Feed Branford Kids has canned chicken or canned tuna as the food item most needed in February. Protein. And, snacks of any kind without nuts, or peanut butter.
Donations are accepted now through Feb. 28, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the Town Clerk's office at Town Hall, 1019 Main St.

It's noted that 34 percent of Branford children are on free or reduced lunch. Feed Branford's Kids' mission is to ensure Branford kids have enough to eat every day — school days, weekends and holidays. Single-serving, shelf-stable food deliveries are made weekly to Branford schools in order to distributed, confidentially.
