ALL GRADUATING H.S. STUDENTS SOUGHT FOR SCHOLARSHIPS
Branford, Conn. [March 1, 2015] The Branford Rotary Club is offering its annual scholarship to Branford student residents who are college bound in the fall of 2015. This monetary award will finance undergraduate study.
The Branford Rotary Club will present a scholarship in the amount of $2,500 to the finalist who provides outstanding evidence in academic achievement, community service, Rotary values (both currently demonstrated and committed to do so in the future), and financial need. The written portion of the application requires an official high school transcript with seal, teachers’ references, a letter of acceptance from school of higher learning, documentation of community service experience, and a student-written essay focusing on how the applicant’s future will incorporate the Rotary theme of Service Above Self. SAT scores and proof of financial need may be requested.

A panel of Rotarians will conduct the interview portion of the application. The applicant may be a pending graduate of any accredited Connecticut high school. This scholarship is intended for undergraduate academics at a 2 or 4-year college or technical school.
Applications for this scholarship will be available at www.branfordrotary.org and the Branford High School guidance office. Complete application packets must be received by May 08, 2015. Further inquiries for information can be directed to project leader, Jack Srebnik 203/208-3266.
