Honor Considered For Retired Branford High Choir, Musical Director: Report

The Board of Education is discussing a name change for an auditorium.

BRANFORD, CT — The Branford Board of Education has formed an advisory committee to study the possibility of renaming the Branford High School Auditorium after retired choir and musical director Cathyann Roding, reports the Branford Sound.

Roding retired from the post in June after 32 years, and was instrumental in putting together the school's well-received musical programs.

The board is also considering a similar naming honor for Cathy McGuirk, the high school's field hockey coach who is entering her 41st year at the helm.
