Branford, Conn - Connecticut’s craft beer community is about to grow again thanks to Darcy and Scott Dugas and their neighbors Kim and Dan Vigliotti long-time home brewers who decided to open a brewery together when they were house-bound during the blizzard of 2013.
“Not being able to drive out of the neighborhood is what ‘drove’ us to open a brewery,” said Kim Vigliotti. “DuVig Brewing Co was born out of the Blizzard of 2013. Roads were closed, beer was flowing, and ideas were brewing!”
The folks from DuVig hope to distinguish themselves and their beer by focusing on crafting full flavored session beers brewed to style. For their initial offerings they plan to brew a Pale Ale, Cream Ale and a Brown Ale with eventual plans to add a Stout with rotating selection of seasonal beers.

“Clean, simple, and satisfying full-flavored beers will be our specialty,” said Vigliotti “Session beers that are brewed true to style are difficult to find on the market; DuVig is committed to bringing this selection to Connecticut!”

DuVig Brewing Company is under development in Branford, Conn. at 59 Schoolground Rd in the River Run Complex. The location was chosen for its proximity to a growing list of great breweries already established along the shoreline and to their own home town of Guilford, said Vigliotti.
DuVig will have a tasting room and will sell growlers direct to the public. Their hours have yet to be finalized, but plans will include being open to the public a few days a week during the afternoon and evening hours, and on weekends as well. Customers will be able to fill growlers, enjoy samples and take tours during regular business hours. The brewery is scheduled to open this spring, either in late May or early June.
