Iceland’s Astonishing Beauty
New Exhibit by Photographer Fred Rosenthal at the Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library, October 30-November 22
Award-winning photographer Fred Rosenthal’s exhibit of Iceland’s unique geography includes moss-covered lava fields, steep mountains separated by beautiful fjords, glaciers, rivers, monumental waterfalls, free-roaming sheep and Icelandic horses. Lasting impressions on display will also include Lupine fields, old turf-roofed farm houses, and beautiful blue icebergs.
“Iceland’s beauty is austere and primitive”, Rosenthal noted, “arousing a sense of reverence, wonder, mystery and awe.”
Fred Rosenthal has had numerous photography exhibits in the greater New Haven area and he is thrilled to be back in the Keyes Gallery of the Willoughby Wallace Library (146 Thimble Islands Rd), in his hometown, Branford. The reception on October 30th from 3-6 p.m. is free and open to the public. Jan Tussing will also be exhibiting her paintings at this show.
