Iconic Branford Eatery To Be Replaced By Archie Moore's

The restaurant will close later this month after a nearly 50-year run in town and will be replaced by another popular eatery.

BRANFORD, CT — It's the end of an era as Su Casa Mexican Restaurant located at 400 East Main St. will close for good on Sept. 29 after a very successful 44-year run, the Sound's Pam Johnson reports.

Su Casa owner Susan Van Antwerpen told Zip06/The Sound that Archie Moore's will take its place after renovations are undertaken. Archie Moore's has locations in Milford, Fairfield, Derby, Wallingford, and New Haven, and is famous for its wings.

Su Casa is famous for its Mexican cuisine including its tortilla chips, quesadillas, fajitas and margaritas. About 40 people work for the restaurant.
