Connecticut Insurance - What About Account Credit Savings?

Are You Getting Your Account Credit Savings? A New Client's Success Story

You work hard for your lifestyle.  You want to be sure you have the Connecticut insurance coverage necessary to protect what you've worked hard for.  However, you also want to be sure you are getting the savings you need as well.

A new client's success story is one reason why you should consider an insurance review for 2014.

Not long ago, one of our Account Managers had an inquiry from a friend regarding her Connecticut homeowners insurance and automobile insurance.  Apparently our Account Manager had attempted in the past to offer a review to her friend. However, her friend declined stating that she had been with her current insurance agency for some time and felt funny about leaving.  Our Account Manager respected that and left the topic alone.

A Change of Mind

When our Account Manager’s friend approached her recently with an inquiry about her Connecticut insurance, of course she was surprised.  She asked her friend why she had changed her mind.  Her friend explained that her current insurance agency was no longer going to maintain a relationship with her current insurance company.  Her friend stated that she liked her current insurance company and was disappointed by this news.  However, there was a second reason.  She explained that although she liked the service from her current insurance company, her rates seemed a bit high.  She also stated that she never felt as if she received an adequate explanation from her current insurance agent or any attempts to help her improve the circumstances.  Therefore, she was feeling a lack of concern for servicing her Connecticut insurance needs by her current insurance agent.

A Second Opinion

She requested that our Account Manger take a look at her Connecticut insurance program which included homeowner's and automobile insurance.  The Account Manager recommended running a quote with her current insurance company just in case something may have been missed.  She also stated that she would quote it with our other available insurance companies to determine, if at the same level of insurance coverage, she could access a lower insurance premium.

Insurance Review and Comparison

After reviewing her friend’s Connecticut insurance program, our Account Manager quickly determined why her friend’s premium seemed so high and knew she could make a big improvement.  However, as promised she quoted her Connecticut insurance program with our other insurance companies just to be sure she couldn’t do even better.  Ironically, our Account Manager determined that keeping her friend with her current insurance company was going to be the best option for her.

The account credits she was eligible for were not applied to her Connecticut insurance program.  Therefore, a simple thing like this afforded her a savings of over $400.00.  Additionally, our Account Manager also pointed out insurance coverage that her friend should have had, but didn’t.  In the end, her friend finalized her Connecticut insurance protection with better coverage and a savings of over $400.00 annually.

Her friend was happy to hear that our Account Manager was able to help and that she could stay with the insurance company she liked.  Of course she wasn’t happy to learn about the insurance savings that she could have been getting in the past as well as the coverage she didn’t have and should have had.

Are you getting your account credits savings?

If your current insurance provider has not discussed account credits with you that you may be eligible for, be sure to ask.  You have the right to know as well as the right to benefit from any that are available to you.  Or, if you haven't had a discussion about account credits, we also highly recommend getting a second opinion from an experienced and reputable insurance provider.  You want to be sure you're getting the service, protection and savings you deserve.
