Is your dog prepared?

I often take Hunter with me on errands, to people’s homes, softball games, and on training sessions. I have had my fair share of breakdowns or unexpected events that cause me to stay later then I originally intended. Now I carry with me a to-go bag for him. This way he will never be without if we are stranded or if plans change. Most of these things I’ve accumulated over time or picked up at a discount. I make sure to rotate the food, water and treats to keep things fresh. I'm always adding things or replacing depending on where we are going.

Hunter's backpack:

Kibble (about a weeks worth), wet food, freeze-dried food, treats, toys (a variety), slip lead, extra collar, leash, shampoo, grooming wipes, booties, toys, poop bags, foldable bowl, water, reflective vest, a copy of his vaccination record, information on his ICE contacts.

I also keep a first aid kit in the bag too:
Brush, bandages, tape, cold pack, styptic powder, sting relief, antiseptic wipes, gauze, gloves, tick remover, tweezers, scissors, muzzle, benadryl, antibiotic ointment, cotton balls, quikclot, sterile eye wash, dog nail clipper, hydrogen peroxide.

Having a pre-packed bag to grab is important in case of bad weather, fire, or other circumstances that may not allow you time to pack.
