Long Time No Sea: Beach Rules, Updates & Transfer Station, Too

BRANFORD, CT — First, some nice news.

The expiration date for the current resident stickers (green stickers that expired on March 31, 2020) has been extended to June 30.

Resident Stickers are now available by mail: All motor vehicle taxes must be paid up to date. Please mail a copy of your license, motor vehicle registration and check or money order payable to the Tax Collector, Town of Branford in the amount of $5.00 to P.O. Box 136, Branford, CT 06405 and the sticker will be mailed to you. If you are 65 or over, please just send registration and license copy for 1 sticker free of charge per household. Stickers will only be issued if taxes for the vehicle are paid to date. New residents should contact the Tax Collector’s Office for additional information concerning proof of residency.

Until June 30, to access Branford Point Parking:

  • Bring your expired sticker.
  • If you don’t have an expired sticker, please bring your license and registration to the Park to verify Branford residency.
  • Parking is limited and is available first come, first serve.
  • Maintain social distancing at all times.

  • Trip passes are currently unavailable, please bring your license and registration to the Transfer Station to verify Branford residency. If you are using a borrowed vehicle please bring your license and the registration for your vehicle with you in the borrowed vehicle to prove residency.
  • Please move through Transfer Station expeditiously.
  • Maintain social distancing at all times.
