Low-Flying Helicopter in Branford is Checking Storm Damage
Eversource is Surveying Towns in State, Including Branford, After Blizzard to Ensure Power Reliability in the Future.

BRANFORD, CT - If you see a low flying helicopter the next few days in Branford don't worry. On the heels of last week's blizzard, Eversource is surveying high-voltage power lines throughout Connecticut, checking for any damage done to the lines during the storm that may threaten electric reliability.
A low flying helicopter is being used to also check for tree limbs or branches that may have broken in the high winds and be in a position to potentially damage a line and cause a power outage.
Branford is one of about 80 towns - or half the state - that Eversource is flying the copter over. It will be in the air from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting, through Friday.
