Major Bridge Project Begins In Branford, Detours To Be Set Up

REPLACEMENT OF BRIDGE NO. 041002 - HARBOR STREET OVER MILL CREEK
Construction of the replacement of the Harbor Street Bridge over Mill Creek will begin on Monday, May 14, 2018. On that day the road will be closed to traffic at the bridge.

Traffic will detour around the construction area by way of Maple Street, Short Beach Road and Stannard Avenue. The road is scheduled to be reopened by September 10, 2018. The road and sidewalk will also be closed to pedestrians at the bridge construction site. Information about the project can be obtained by contacting Janice A. Plaziak, P.E., Town Engineer.
