Meet Ricky DiRago: Parks & Rec Welcomes New Program Coordinator
Meet the guy with a résumé chock-a-block of sports and recreation gigs and experience, who'll be working with kids in Parks & Rec programs.

BRANFORD, CT —Since Branford kids who participate in Parks & Rec programs will get to know the town's new Program Coordinator, you should, too.
Ricky DiRago, a Westchester, NY native and now Connecticut resident, has been in the sports and recreation business since even before graduating from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management. He's been a coach, an intramural sports supervisor, was a NY Jets Events & Game Operations staffer, a rep for the New York City Football Club, and myriad other sports and recreation positions including many as a volunteer. And he received the 2022 Multi Media Award from the New York State Parks & Recreation Society.
"I just started this week, and I'm excited to get to know the community," DiRago told Patch. "I'm looking forward to showing the community what I'll bring to (Parks & Recreation)."

Program Supervisor Victor Amatori, Jr., said DiRago is a "great addition to the team here."
"We are excited to have him and will support him along the way and see what he can add to our community," Amatori said. "He'll accomplish amazing things at Branford Parks and Recreation."

2. He is getting married to the love of his life in December.
3. He was born in Westchester, NY and recently moved to Monroe, CT.
4. He has vacationed out of the country three times (Aruba, Bahamas, Cancun).
5. He has been in the Parks & Recreation field for over three years, earning multiple awards at the local & state level.
