Mike Olt Finishes Minor League Stint With Boston Red Sox Farm Team

Olt's season just ended and here's a recap of how he fared.

BRANFORD, CT – Mike Olt has just finished his season with the AA affiliate of the Boston Red Sox with a .245 batting average, 16 home runs, and 57 runs batted in.

Olt, from Branford, was signed by the Red Sox to play this year with the Portland Sea Dogs, who finished in fourth place in the Easter League, with 65 wins and 74 losses.

The New York Yankees affiliate, the Trenton Thunder, won the division with 92 wins and 48 losses and will now move on to the playoffs.

Olt played third base, first base and some designated hitter during the year for the Sea Dogs

He is a former first round draft choice out of the University of Connecticut.
