New Chipotle Restaurant To Open In Branford

BRANFORD, CT – The long wait for Chipotle fans is nearly over. The restaurant’s opening date has been announced as this coming Thursday, Oct. 5th.

Work on the restaurant, located at 2 Commercial Parkway, is nearly complete. A sign in the front window is advertising for workers.

The location used to be the home of a Subway shop and other smaller shops, but Chipotle has taken over the entire location.

The new Chipotle will include a sit-down restaurant and outdoor patio. There also will no drive-through window.

The restaurant will face Commercial Parkway, rather than Route 1, which is where the old restaurants fronted.

There are 20 other Chipotle restaurants in Connecticut, including ones in nearby New Haven, Hamden, West Haven and Milford.
