North Branford Public Libraries Closed Saturday, Monday

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — In observance of the Labor Day holiday, the North Branford Atwater Memorial Library in North Branford and the Edward Smith Library in Northford, will be closed Saturday and Monday, Sept. 5.

Both libraries reopen Tuesday at 10 a.m.

While we're on the subject of libraries, at the Atwater Memorial Library on the second Thursday of each month is Pat's Picks Movie Club! All titles are selected by our local movie expert, Patricia Cochrane! This month's film, Sept. 8 at 1 p.m., is the Shawshank Redemption, a 1994 drama adapted from a book by Stephen King, starring Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins.
