Now Until Aug. 18, Branford High School Is Closed As 'Urgent' But Planned Repairs Begin
The school is closed to staff and the public as a full roof repair is set to begin.

BRANFORD, CT — Branford High School will be closed to staff and the public until Aug. 18, it was announced this week.
"We're doing major improvements to the school, including a full roof replacement," the school posted to Facebook. "Our goal is to help improve the safety, function, and longevity of BHS."
According to the school district, the repairs at the high school are considered "urgent."

The plan begins with urgent repairs to core building systems, this summer a roof replacement, followed by longer-term improvements that may include:
- Updated learning spaces
- Improvements to common areas
- Cafeteria and kitchen upgrades
- Career and technical education spaces
- Ongoing system and technology upgrades
