We are again asking the community to remember to lock your cars and take your valuables out. Branford has been experiencing a series of car break-ins and auto theft. Most of these involved unlocked cars and the vehicle keys left in the car.
We have learned that the perpetrators are coming into residential neighborhoods, in vehicles with four or five people in the car, jumping out of their car and scattering throughout neighborhoods looking for unlocked cars. Besides locking your car, we recommend that you make it more difficult for these incidents to occur.
