Alice Doughan Van Wie of Branford, died Saturday September 30, 2017 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of the late William Van Wie. Alice was born in New Haven December 18, 1928, daughter of the late Edward J. and Hattie Murphy Doughan.
She worked for many years as a research associate at the Yale School of Medicine, retiring in 2008. She is survived by nephews, Philip A. Crouthamel, Wallace K. Crouthamel and Eric A. Crouthamel, and David Morley; nieces Susan R. Cragg, Maryann Davies, Maryann Giralamo and Margaret Dunn; grand-niece Nadine A. Crouthamel and grand-nephew, Philip S. Crouthamel.

Friends and relatives may call at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Monday, October 30th from 8:30-9:30 AM, and are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in St. Therese Church, Branford.
