Obituary: ​Allan Bushman, 83, Formerly of Branford

Allan Bushman of East Haven, formerly of Branford, died Wednesday July 4, 2018 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy George Bushman. Allan was born on January 11, 1935, son of the late Carlton and Irene Heinig Bushman.

He was a U. S, Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Allan worked as a sheet metal worker for Premier Roofing for many years until retiring. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association, Local #40. He is survived by his children, Suzanne Pine of East Haven, Allison (Jeffrey) Griffin of East Haven and Allan (Catherine) Bushman, Jr. of Wallingford; five grandchildren, Samantha Rodriguez, Jeffrey Griffin, Jr., Sean Griffin, Aaron Pine, and Andrew Bushman; two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Michael Rodriguez; and his sisters, Lynn Owens of Guilford and Adrienne Lees of Cuttingsville, VT.

He was predeceased by a brother Ronald Bushman.Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service Tuesday morning at 11:00 in the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00.
