Obituary: Andrew T. Dwyer, 84, of Branford
A U.S. Marine, he was an avid outdoorsman and played fife with the Stony Creek Fife and Drum Corps and Ancient Mariners Drum Corps.

Andrew T. Dwyer of Branford died Tuesday September 14, 2021 at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a brief illness.
Andrew was born in Branford April 14, 1937, son of the late George and Rose Piscitello Dwyer.
He served in the U. S. Marine Corps. He was the foreman at Dwyer Aluminum Mast Company for many years until retiring. Andrew played the fife in the Stony Creek Fife and Drum Corps and the Ancient Mariners Drum Corps. He was an avid outdoorsman, belonging to the Killingworth Sportsmen’s Club and the Guilford Sportsmen’s Club.
Andrew is survived by his companion of many years, Betsie Dougherty of Branford, his brothers, George and Robert Dwyer (Joy Sperrazza) of Branford, his sister, Anna Bagley of Branford, and many nieces and nephews. A brother Edward Dwyer predeceased him.
Visitation Monday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, with USMC funeral honors at 7:00 PM. Burial will be private.
