Obituary: Angela Graves of Branford

Angela, a woman of great faith, was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Church in Branford, and lived a lifetime of volunteerism and service.

Angela Graves of Branford died Wednesday August 15, 2018.. She was predeceased by Roland Graves. Angela was born April 19, 1920 in New Haven, daughter of the late Rocco and Mary (Locantore) Andriulli. She proudly worked as a bookkeeper until retirement at 81. Angela, a woman of great faith, was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Church in Branford, and lived a lifetime of volunteerism and service to others.

Angela is survived by her children, Bob Graves of Hamden, Janet Szalwinski (Walter/Sal) of Branford, Gail Lane (Michael), with whom she resided in Bethany, and Jack Graves (Nuch) of Branford, ; her sisters, Mary Apuzzo of New Haven, and Lucille Joyner of New Jersey, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Agnes Limauro, Frank Andriulli, Elizabeth Quaranto, John Andriulli and Anna Davitt. Angela’s beauty was only surpassed by the compassion in her heart. She was loved by all who knew her.

Her funeral will leave the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford on August 20, 2018, Monday morning at 10:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church at 11:00. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.
