Obituary: Anne E. Berger Cerrone, of Branford
She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 44 years, having worked in the Pediatrics Department at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Anne E. Berger Cerrone, of Branford, entered into rest on December 5, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Cerrone. She was the loving mother of Mrs. Anthony (Sharon) Lomartra, James A. (Doreen) Cerrone, Stephen E. Cerrone and Mrs. Kenneth (Juliann) Davis. She adored her grandchildren, Michael and Samantha Cerrone, Daniel Lomartra, Joseph and Stephen Cerrone.
She was born September 13, 1939 in New Haven, daughter of the late Edward and Marie Duffy Berger, but was raised by her loving mother, the late Alice Berger, due to the very early death of Marie Berger. She was sister to Edward Berger, Mary Ellen Reynolds and Patrice DeFilippo, and the late John Berger. Mrs. Cerrone was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 44 years, having worked in the Pediatrics Department at Yale-New Haven Hospital and several area nursing homes until retiring in 2002.

She was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and enjoyed traveling. She also was a longtime volunteer at the Branford Community Dining Room. Her funeral will leave the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Friday morning at 11:00 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church at 11:30. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery.
Friends may call prior to the funeral from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Branford Community Dining Room, 30 Harrison Avenue, Branford, CT 06405.
