Obituary: Anthony C. Gambardella, 90, of Branford
He was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Army.

Anthony C. Gambardella, of Branford, formerly of North Haven and West Haven, died Wednesday February 17, 2016 at his home. He was the husband of the late Frances Naski Gambardella.
Mr. Gambardella was born in New Haven April 15, 1925, son of the late Emma DePasquale Gambardella, and grew up in the Wooster Square neighborhood. He was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Army. He worked as a machinist for Olin/U. S. Repeating Arms for many years until his retirement.

Mr. Gambardella is survived by his children, Carol (Stan) MacLachlan of Branford, Nancy (Keith) Simmons of Virginia and Robert (Sheila) Gambardella of N. C.; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Theresa Micco, Rae Perno and Pasquale Gambardella.
His funeral will leave the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Monday morning at 11:00 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Therese Church, Branford, at 11:30. Entombment, in St. Lawrence Mausoleum, will follow Mass. Friends may call prior to the funeral from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
