Obituary: Antonio Vigliotti, 88, of Branford

Born in Italy in 1934, he was owner of Vigliotti Painting, was an avid bowler and bocce player, enjoyed playing poker and was a Yankees fan.

Antonio Vigliotti of Branford died Sunday January 2, 2022 at Milford Hospital after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Mary Grace Piscitelli Vigliotti.

Antonio was born October 22, 1934 in Cervino, Casserto, Italy, son of the late Francesco and Angela Rosa Razzano Vigliotti.

He was a painting contractor and owner of Vigliotti Painting for many years until retiring. He was an avid bowler and bocce player, enjoyed playing poker and was a NY Yankee fan.

Besides his wife he is survived by his daughters, Angela Rose Vigliotti of Branford, Angelina (Thomas) Geraci of East Haven and Frances (Giovanni) Valentino of Branford; his siblings, Antimo Vigliotti, and Annarita Paycheck, both of Syracuse, NY, Maria Piscitelli and Vivian Vigliotti, both of Branford, and Aniello Vigliotti of Glendale, AZ; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Palmine Savanelli, Fortunata Savanelli and Filomena Lisi.

His funeral will leave the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford Friday morning at 11:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Mary Church, 731 Main Street, Branford, at 12:00 PM. Entombment in All Saints Mausoleum will follow. Visiting hour prior to Mass from 10:30 – 11:30 at the funeral home.
