Obituary: Augustine J. “Butch” Holt, 53, of Branford

Augustine J. “Butch” Holt of Branford died Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Connecticut Hospice after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Tina Gargamelli Holt.

Butch was born in New Haven September 8, 1968, a son of Frances Zona and the late James D. Holt.

He worked as a service associate at Branhaven Chrysler where his coworkers and customers became a second family.

Besides Tina and his mother, Butch is survived by his sons, Dylan J. Holt of East Haven and Joshua R. Holt (Sophia Laird) of Branford; his siblings, Zina (Raymond) Clark and James Holt, both of Branford. He is also survived by his godchildren, Britney M. Perinetti and Ryan A. Clark, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Raymond Holt.

Friends are invited to a memorial gathering Sunday afternoon from 2:00-4:00, with a prayer service at 4:00 at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. Thank you.
