Obituary: Austin W. Colburn, 82, of Clinton, formerly of Branford

Austin W. Colburn of Clinton, formerly of Branford, died Friday August 25, 2023 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Lois Coe Colburn.

Austin was born in New Haven on December 31, 1940, son of the late Austin and Margaret Sabo Colburn. He worked as a purchasing agent for Sony for many years until retiring. Austin was a very creative person and was proud of his drawings.

Besides Lois, Austin is survived by his son Daniel E. (Megan) Colburn of Branford, his grandchildren, Mark Shaw, Alyssa, Austin Jeffrey Colburn and Ally Gail Colburn and three great-grandchildren, Nolaya, Gabrielle, and Damien. He is also survived by his sister, Betsy Massiman of Meriden, his brothers, Bob Colburn of North Carolina and Doug Colburn of Branford.

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 at Tabor Cemetery in Branford. There are no calling hours.
