Barbara St. Clair Pierpont O'Malley Mooney of Branford died on Wednesday July 5 at Branford Hills Health Care from complications of Dementia and Bone Cancer. She was predeceased by her husbands Robert Pierpont, John O'Malley, and John Mooney.
She was the mother of Linda Mansfield (John) of Killingworth, Patrick O'Malley of Wallingford, Kimberly Lendroth (Marty) of East Haven, and Gary Pierpont (Diane) of Guilford. She was the sister of Raymond St. Clair (Kathy) of West Haven, and Florence Leach of Hamden.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, David Mansfield (Stephanie), Michael Mansfield (Sovina), Jennifer Grayson (Marc), Stephanie, Martin, Megan Lendroth, and John, Connor, Aidan, and Makenzie O'Malley. She was the great-grandmother of Ryan, Jason, Anna, and William Mansfield and Annora Pierpont Grayson. She was predeceased by her brothers James and William St. Clair.Barbara was born in New Haven on June 16, 1932, daughter of the late James and Florence St. Clair. She had resided in New Haven, Northford, East Haven, and Branford.
She was the former co-owner of The Country Tavern in Guilford. She was a bartender at Mike and Mary's and Pat's Pardee in East Haven. She was a supervisor at OTB in East Haven and worked at Walgreen's Pharmacy in Branford. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining, walking and hiking, and mostly spending time with her grandchildren. Her family wishes to thank the staff at Branford Hills Health Care for their compassionate care.
