Obituary: Carol Ann Duell, 92, of Branford
A lifelong Branford resident, in 1964, she began her banking career as a First Bank teller and would eventually become a branch manager.

Carol Ann Duell, a lifelong Branford resident, passed away peacefully at Whispering Pines Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on September 20, 2021. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Duell. She was the mother of Debra Cole (Michael) of Branford, Scott Duell (Marjorie) of Branford, and Jeffrey Duell of North Branford. She was the grandmother of Michael Cole Jr. and Alyssa Cole Warner (Kurt), and is survived by her great-grandchildren Austin and Harrison Warner. She was predeceased by her sister Joan Ericson Fletcher. Carol was born in New Haven on July 3, 1929, a daughter of Carl and Mary Alex Ericson.
She worked for First Bank in Branford, beginning as a teller in 1964, and eventually became the Branch Manager/Officer at the Branford Main Street location.
