Obituary: Cathleen J. Hauser, 81, of Branford

Cathleen J. Hauser of Branford, died Thursday December 28, 2017 at Apple Rehab Guilford. She was the beloved wife of Arthur B. Hauser. Mrs. Hauser was born January 22, 1934 in New Haven, daughter of the late Stephen and Cathleen O’Brien.

She was a graduate of the Hospital of St. Raphael School of Nursing. She worked as a RN for the Hospital of St. Raphael for many years, until retiring. She was a music lover and she sang with the Branford Chorale and the Sweet Adeline’s. Her family would like to thank Apple Rehab Guilford for the tremendous care and compassion shown to Cathleen during her time there. Besides her husband she is survived by her daughters, Mary Sylvia of Bristol, RI, Sheila (Kevin) O’Reilly of Branford, Eileen (Weston) Lant of New Bedford, MA, and Amy (Robert) Nelson of Richmond, VA; her grandchildren, Cara (Pete) Borzillo, Daniel, Kelsey and Molly O’Reilly, Matthew Sylvia, Keegan and Fiona Lant, and Henry and Charlotte Nelson; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Mia and Nathan Borzillo; and her brother Robert O’Brien.

Funeral from the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Wednesday morning at 10:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Therese Church, Branford, at 11:00. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 4:00 - 7:00 PM.
