Obituary: Charles F. Grabenstein, 90, of Branford
A Korean War Army veteran, he was an electrical engineer, owner of Charles Grabenstein Industry and a Branford Rotary Club lifetime member.

Charles F. Grabenstein of Branford died Tuesday May 10, 2022 at the Guilford House. He was the husband of the late Anna Grant Grabenstein. Charles was born September 4, 1931 in Cumberland, MD, son of the late Joseph and Anna Grabenstein.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was an electrical engineer with Alegani Instruments/MDI, and former owner of Charles Grabenstein Industry. Charles was honored by the Branford Rotary Club as a lifetime member.

He is survived by his children Beth Moore of Branford, Catherine (Tony) Tasillo of Old Saybrook, Therese Osborne of North Branford, Susan (Steven) Bowden of East Haven, Charles (Connie) Grabenstein of Madison and Lisa (Chuck) Evans of Seattle, WA; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and his brother Walter Grabenstein.

Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service Monday May 16, 2022 at 11:00 in W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, with visitation prior to the ceremony from 9:00 – 11:00. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.
