Charles F. Shelton III, "Chip", born November 7, 1958, beloved son of Charles F. Shelton, Jr. and Doris J. Shelton entered into eternal peace in Yale New Haven Hospital on August 11, 2016 with his parents and his brothers Stephen and Chris beside him.

He is survived by his dear godmother, Emily J. LeMay. "Auntie Em" and Chip enjoyed walking in the country woods together.

He graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science Degree and earned a Masters of Science degree from Quinnipiac University. Presently, he was completing a Masters in Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in San Francisco.

Chip was a writer of film scripts, directed several films and published a novel. He had been recognized for his talents as an artist, winning several awards for these endeavors.

His sisters-in-law, Amy and Sarah Shelton, and his many nieces and nephews always enjoyed being in his company. He leaves us all with many fond memories of his life and his many achievements.

A private funeral and Christian burial was celebrated on August 16, 2016. The W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St. Branford was in care of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
