Obituary: Charles M. “Charlie” Gravino of Branford
He worked as an automotive technician at many area garages, retiring from Branhaven Chrysler-Plymouth in Branford.

Charles M. “Charlie” Gravino of Branford died Tuesday December 11, 2018 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was the beloved husband to Concetta “Connie” Santanelli Gravino. Charlie was born February 11, 1943 in New Haven, son of the late Angelo C. and Andretta Gambardella Gravino. In the late 1950's Charlie was part of a doo wop group called "The Impalants".
He worked as an automotive technician at many area garages, retiring from Branhaven Chrysler-Plymouth in Branford. Charlie was an avid bocce player, you could find him at many local bocce courts around town. He also loved to golf, and he was a diehard NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. Besides Connie, Charlie is survived by his children, Charles M. (Maud) Gravino of North Haven, and Michele Gravino of Branford; his grandchildren, Sara-Jean Yanac and Stephen Yanac; and his brother Mark Gravino.

He was predeceased by his brother David A. Gravino. His funeral will leave the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Monday morning at 10:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church at St. John Bosco Parish, Branford at 11:00. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Visiting hours will be Sunday afternoon from 3:00 - 6:00.
