Obituary: Charles M. Regan, 82, of Branford
A finance manager, he enjoyed skiing, sailing, tennis, golf, basketball, and softball and was a "huge" Yankees, NY Giants and UCONN fan.

Charles M. Regan of Branford, died suddenly on Sunday June 25, 2023 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Marjorie Morrill Regan.
Charles was born in New Haven on August 16, 1940, son of the late Charles and Mildred Messinger Regan. He was a graduate of the University of Connecticut where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree. He worked as a finance manager for SNET for 37 years until retiring. He also was a program manager for the CT Conference of Municipalities (CCM). Charles had many hobbies and interests, including skiing, sailing, tennis, golf, basketball and softball. He loved sports and coached his children in every sport they played. He was a huge fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants and loved the UConn men’s and women’s basketball teams.

He enjoyed traveling, especially to Bonita Springs, FL and family trips to the Outer Banks, NC. He was a nature lover, a kid at heart, and a very funny guy who loved to tell jokes. He was a member of both the Indian Neck Yacht Club and the Owenego Beach and Tennis Club.
Besides Marge, he is survived by his children, Beth (Richard) Pierpont of Cheshire, Timothy (Stacy) Regan of Killingworth and Christopher (Trina) Regan of Wallingford; his grandchildren, Ryan and Sarah Pierpont, Colin, Seth, Cameron and Macenzie Regan; his sister Lynne (Glenn) Papuga of Branford and his sister-in-law Dale Regan of Clinton, his former wife Ann Regan of North Branford and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Edward Regan.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visiting hour Friday afternoon from 1:00 – 2:00, with a memorial service at 2:00, at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Branford Fire Department, 45 North Main Street, Branford, or the Stony Creek Rescue Company 5, PO Box 3312, Branford, CT 06405.
