Obituary: Colin M. Early Jr, 36, of Branford, formerly East Haven

A free spirit who loved the water, the beach, fishing, art, painting, and the outdoors, was loved by all and would do anything for a friend.

Colin M. Early Jr, 36, of Branford, formerly of East Haven, passed away on March 2, 2022 unexpectedly at his home. Born on July 18, 1985 to June Earley and the late Colin M. Earley Sr. Colin was a graduate of East Haven High School Class of 2004.

After high school, Colin went to work for various area restaurants, holding many positions with them. Most recently, he worked at Rosso Vino in Branford.

Colin was known as a free spirit, who loved the water, the beach, fishing, art, painting and anything outdoors. He was loved by everyone he met, and would do anything for anyone he called a friend. Colin was proud of the year that he lived on Nantucket. He loved spending time with his family, especially his niece Elizabeth and his nephew Gabriel who adored him.

Besides his mother June, Colin is survived by his Grandmother June Poirier, his brothers Louis (Angela) Campano of Deep River, and Josh Earley of Branford, his sister Sarah (Juan Ocasio) Malvey of Hamden, his step-brothers Christopher and Anthony Earley of Montville, his Uncle Michael Earley, his Aunts Rosemary (Bruce Scotti) Earley, Pamela (John) DeFilippo, his Niece and Nephew Elizabeth and Gabriel Ocasio and many loving cousins and many many friends that he has met along his journey.

Colin is predeceased by his father Colin, Sr., his Uncle William Earley, and his Grandparents William Fontaine and Virginia Earley.

Colin’s family invites his friends to a visitation at East Haven Memorial Funeral Home 425 Main St. East Haven, CT 06512 on MONDAY MARCH 7, 2022 from 4-7pm. Anyone who would like to say a few words about Colin will have the opportunity to toward the end of the visitation. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions can be made in Colin’s honor to the East Haven Animal Shelter Kennel Club through the funeral home.
