Daniel S. Burban, SR, of Branford, died Monday October 10, 2016 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the beloved husband of 64 years to Joan Kapinos Burban. Mr. Burban was born May 27, 1931 in Branford, son of the late Fred and Frances Ottenbreit Burban.

He worked for Pratt & Whitney for 40 years, retiring as a supervisor in 1992. He loved golf, fishing, playing cards, and enjoyed trips to the casino. However, he was happiest being with his family.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Mitchell (Laura) Burban and Lore (David) DeFrancesco, both of Branford; his grandchildren, Danielle DeFrancesco, Cassie and Madison Burban; his mother-in-law, Sally E. Ingalls, and his sister-in-law, Sally D. Ingalls.

He was predeceased by his sons, Daniel JR, and Jeffrey Burban; his brothers, John, Steven, Nicholas and Walter Burban, and his sister Virginia Federation.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday October 18, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Church, Branford at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private at the convenience of his family.
