Obituary: Dennis W. "DJ" Ryan, Jr. 22, of Branford

Dennis W. "DJ" Ryan, Jr. of Branford, died suddenly in Branford Tuesday May 16, 2017. DJ was born September 10, 1994 in New Haven, the beloved son of Dennis W., Sr. and Marilyn McDonald Ryan of Branford.

He was a graduate of Branford High School, Class of 2013 where he was a member of the National Honor Society and he was the tri-captain of the football team and co-captain of the lacrosse team. He attended UConn and played for the club lacrosse team there.

Besides his parents, DJ is survived by his sisters, Tamara Petro of Branford and Stacey (Abraham) Moises of Quakertown, PA; his brothers, Michael (Andrea) Petro of Bear, DE and William Ryan of Branford; and his nieces and nephews, Isabella, Dante, Jacob, Vincenzo, Giovanni, David and Lillian Grace. DJ was a loving son and brother, a doting uncle and a friend to many.

He will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford.
