Obituary: Dorina Maloney of Branford

Dorina Maloney of Branford, died Friday October 27, 2017 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the wife of the late Martin Maloney. Mrs. Maloney was born in New Haven September 20, 1929, daughter of the late John and Margaret Parisi Giannelli. She was a graduate of the Hospital of St. Raphael School of Nursing in 1950. She worked as a RN and retired from the Hospital of St. Raphael in 1995. She enjoyed playing the piano, doing crossword puzzles and traveling with her friends on bus trips to various destinations.

She is survived by her children, Deborah (Joseph) Copes of Branford, Martin Maloney of Naugatuck and Karen (Michael) Shorey of Harrisburg, PA; her grandchildren, Jason (Nicole) Shorey, Dustin Shorey, Jennifer (Matthew) Fox and Amanda (Femi) Idienumah; her great-grandchildren, Jaret, Autumn, Caitlin, Kayley and Brooklyn; and her sister Elizabeth (Louis) Komao of Northford. She was predeceased by her sister Grace Henry and her brother John Giannelli.
