Obituary: Dorothy George Bushman

Dorothy George Bushman of East Haven, died June 25, 2018 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Allan Bushman. Dorothy was born March 16, 1935 in Jersey City, NJ, daughter of the late Fred and Ann George. She was a longtime resident of Branford and communicant of St. Mary Church, before moving to East Haven. Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Suzanne Pine of East Haven, Allison (Jeffrey) Griffin of East Haven and Allan (Catherine) Bushman, Jr. of Wallingford; five grandchildren, Samantha Rodriguez, Jeffrey Griffin, Jr., Sean Griffin, Aaron Pine, and Andrew Bushman; and two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Michael Rodriguez.

Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service Thursday morning at 11:00 in the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
