Obituary: Edwin K. Brown, 86, Formerly Of Branford
He was an active member of the Branford Lions Club and the town RTM.

Thursday, June 15, 2017 Edwin K. Brown of Madison formerly longtime resident of Branford, passed away peacefully with his family at his side at CT Hospice, Branford. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Crampton) Brown.
Edwin was born Aug. 13, 1930 in Lawrence, MA son of the late Edwin C. Brown and Blanche Shearer Brown. Father of Richard Brown and his wife Donna of Matthews, NC, Jeffrey Brown and his wife Josephine of Clinton and Susan Burrell and her husband Michael of Guilford. Brother of Sandra O’Day of Guilford. Also survived by seven grandchildren, Christopher and Emma Brown; Gianna and Matthew Brown; Jake, Morgan and Luke Burrell. Predeceased by a brother, J. Richard BrownMr. Brown graduated from Johnson High School in North Andover, MA.

He attended Arnold College in Milford, CT, the American Institute of Banking and Stonier School of Banking at Rutgers University. He worked for many years in banking, retiring as vice-president of First Bank. He was an active member of the Branford Lions Club and the town RTM.
During their retirement, the Browns travelled extensively in Europe and enjoyed many cruises together.

Friends are invited to funeral service on Wednesday, June 21 at 11 am in the First Congregational Church, 1009 Main St, Branford. Burial will follow immediately in Center Cemetery, Montowese St, Branford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Band of Parents, PO Box 335, Dewittville, NY 14728; which funds new therapies for the treatment of Neuroblastoma (a childhood cancer) or National Kidney Foundation, Finance Dept, 30 East 33rd St, New York, NY 10016.
