Obituary: Eileen Fitzpatrick O'Connor, 96, of Branford

Eileen Fitzpatrick O'Connor died peacefully on Sunday March 12, 2017 at the Branford Hills Health Care Center with her family by her side. She was born on October 19, 1920, a daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick of Leitrim.

She was the widow of the late Francis T. O'Connor to whom she was married for nearly 70 years before his death in 2011. She was also predeceased by her brother and sister, Thomas and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick. She was the loving mother of Francis O'Connor of Milford, Patricia O'Connor of Branford, and Thomas (Starr) O'Connor of Hamden and one grandchild, Kathleen.

Eileen was retired from the former Macy's in New Haven where she was happiest interacting with her customers and socializing with her co-workers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary Church in Branford.

Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. Friends may call prior to Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St. Branford.
