Obituary: Elaine D’Amelio, 81, of Branford

Elaine D’Amelio of Branford died Wednesday February 1, 2023 at the Madison House.

Elaine was born November 22, 1941 in New Haven, daughter of the late Frank and Rose Renga D’Amelio. She worked as a secretary for Harrington, Inc. for five years then for Olin Corporation for 43 years-16 years at Brass Mill and 27 years at Winchester/U. S. Repeating Arms Co. She was a member of the New Haven Business and Professional Women’s Club for 20 years. She also volunteered at Connecticut Hospice and the Branford Food Pantry.

Elaine is survived by her brother David D’Amelio of Branford and was predeceased by a brother Joseph D’Amelio and a sister Mary Lou Carpinella.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Monday morning at 10:00 in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Mary Church, 731 Main St., Branford. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
