Elizabeth L. Mauro of Branford, died Thursday September 14, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Mauro was born October 2, 1924 in St. Louis, MO, daughter of the late John B. and Eunice McCallum Moeck. She worked as a waitress for many area restaurants, including the Phoenix Restaurant of Branford.
Mrs. Mauro is survived by her daughters, Sharron (Ronald) Mathieu of Niantic and Elizabeth (George) Geuther of New Haven; her son-in-law, David Gagne` of Northford; her grandchildren David (Anatar) Gagne`, Jody Perno, Michelle Majchrzak; and her great-grandchildren, Lilly and Chase Majchrzak.

She was predeceased by her son Terrence L. Helminski, her daughter, Cynthia Gagne`, her grandson, Joseph P. Dombrowski, Jr., her granddaughter Deborah J. Dombrowski; her sister, Katherine Austin and her brother John Moeck.Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service Saturday September 23, at 11:00 in the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, and may call prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter, 749 East Main Street, Branford, CT 06405.
