Obituary: Esther Bracken, of Branford

Esther Bracken of New London, life long resident of Branford, died Tuesday June 12, 2018. She was the wife of the late James E. Bracken, III. Esther was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, December 30, 1936, daughter of the late Pedro Acevedo and Virginia Santiago. Esther was a director for SARAH, Inc. for many years, until retiring. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church in Branford, and was very involved in many parish activities.

Esther is survived by her children, Dianna (Willis) Beckwith of Old Lyme and Jon Ruch of New Britain, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and her sister Magda (Pasquale) Valenzuela . She was predeceased by her son James E. Bracken, IV.Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday morning at 11:00 in St. Mary Church, Branford.
