Obituary: Eugene T. Madeska of Branford​​

Eugene T. Madeska of Branford died Monday June 11, 2018 at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of 60 years of Beverly Jefferson Madeska. Eugene “Gene” was born in New Haven May 12, 1936, son of the late Joseph and Sophie Madeska.

He served in the Connecticut National Guard for many years. Gene was a truck driver with Teamsters Local #443, driving for ABF Trucking and Navajo Trucking. He was a member and Past President of the Teamsters Local #443 Retiree Chapter. Besides his wife, Gene is lovingly survived by his daughters, Tamre (Edward) Mockus of Branford and Tracey (John) Gajewski of Trumbull; his beloved grandchildren, Taryn, Edward “Ted” and Teagan Mockus, and Adam Gajewski.

He is also survived by Doreen Reede and Lawrence Kaplan.Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Monday morning at 9:30 in St. Mary Church, Branford.
