Obituary: Evelyn Moody, of Branford

Evelyn Moody of Old Saybrook, formerly of Branford, died Sunday November 6, 2016. Mrs. Moody was born October 19, 1924 in Hartford, CT, daughter of the late Ward and Agnes O'Hara Milliot.
She had worked as a clerk in the Building and Engineering Department of the Branford Town Hall for many years until retiring.

She is survived by her sons, Robert E. Vanderburgh of Old Saybrook and James F. Vanderburgh of North Branford; a brother Ward Milliot, Jr. of LA, and a sister Shirley St. Laurent of East Windsor, CT; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Elizabeth Gunning, Mary Skotnicki and Gertrude Conroy, and her brother George Milliot.Relatives and friends may visit the family Saturday morning from 9 – 11 am in the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Gladeview Nursing Home, 60 Boston Post Road, Old Saybrook, CT 06475.
