Obituary: F. William Sullivan, 52
He was an accomplished self-taught harmonica player who recorded music with Pink and Hootie and the Blowfish.

F. William Sullivan, known as “Uncle Bill” to many, died on Sunday August 19 at his home in New Jersey. He was the beloved husband of Leanna Smith Sullivan and devoted father to William Sullivan. He was the son of Frank W. and Mary B. Sullivan of Branford.
He was the brother of Susan D’Amico (Scott) of Branford, Kathleen DePalma (Mitchell) of Branford, Eileen Boulay (Robert) of Killingworth, Robert Sullivan (Mary) of North Branford, Brian Sullivan (Monica) of Branford, Stephen Sullivan (Tracy) of New Jersey and David Sullivan of New Jersey. He is also survived by his mother and father in law James Lee and Donna Smith of Lubbock, TX and his brother and sister in law Warner and Roxana Smith of Carnation, Washington. He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews who he loved and adored. He was predeceased by his mother Patricia Garvey Sullivan.
Bill was born in New Rochelle on December 1, 1965. He was an amazing singer, musician, and entertainer who performed all over the world. He was an accomplished self-taught harmonica player who recorded music with Pink and Hootie and the Blowfish. He loved to draw and create personalized greeting cards. He was a world traveler who loved the outdoors and also loved history.

He was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Mets, and especially enjoyed coaching his son’s baseball and soccer teams. Wherever he went, he was the life of the party and he will be greatly missed.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 at St. Mary Church in Branford. Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford. Friends may call Friday from 4-8 P.M. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St. Branford.
