Obituary: Gloria Raccio, 93, of Branford

Gloria Raccio, 93, of Branford, wife of the late William C. Raccio, Sr. and loving Mother, Nonnie, and Aunt, died peacefully on Monday, June 5, 2023 with her daughters by her side. Gloria was born on December 19, 1929, a daughter of the late Dominic and Antoinette Landino.

Gloria was a graduate of Hamden High School Class of 1947 and a proud member of their reunion committee. She was an administrative assistant at the Upjohn Company and the Dow Chemical
Company for many years. Gloria was an active bowler in the senior league at Circle Lanes in East Haven until a year ago. She was an avid fan of the UCONN women’s basketball team and, enjoyed traveling and trips to the casinos but her greatest love was her family and she always cherished the time they could spend together.

Gloria is survived by her three loving children, William C. Raccio, Jr, Nancy (Ted) Robak, and Anne (Jim) Baker; five much loved grandchildren, Rachel Raccio, T.J. and Robert Robak, and Matthew and Stephanie Strucaly. She also leaves a brother in Australia, Edward (Gerri) Landino, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband of 61 years, Gloria was predeceased by her sister Lena Spirito.

Family and friends may call at the Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Road, North Branford, Saturday June 10 from 8:30-10:30 AM. A funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM at St. Therese Church, 105 Leetes Island Road, Branford. Burial will be private.
