Obituary: Grace Redding, 89, formerly of Branford
An extraordinary cook, baker, she enjoyed walking at Foote Park, tending her garden, and watching sports, from Red Sox to UCONN basketball.

On June 18, 2023, Grace Redding at age of 89, previously of Branford, CT,
passed away. Grace was born in New Haven; she was the daughter of the late
Ralph and Louise Caruso. She was married to the late James P. Redding Sr. for
63 years and was a caregiver to him until he passed away. She worked at Echlin
Manufacturing in the Financial Department for 35 years before retiring.
Grace was predeceased by her husband James P. Redding Sr., son James P.
Redding Jr., and grandson Mark Cataudella. She is survived by son John P.
(Darra) Redding, daughter Louise (Michael) Cataudella, daughter in-law Dawn,
Redding, grandchildren of Christine (Josh) Miller, James P. Redding III, Jake
(Elyse) Redding, Tori (Ashleigh) Redding, Livi Redding, Scott (Hayley Kohler)
Cataudella, Rachel Cataudella, and Jack Kerner, and great-grandchildren of
Wesley, Parker, Nolan, and Peter Redding, and Avery Grace Cataudella.

Grace, being the Italian that she was, was an extraordinary cook, baker, and
loved having the family over providing endless amounts of food and cookies to
feed an army. Grace adored her family and cherished time spent with her
children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to cooking, Grace
loved to keep active and outdoors where she spent many hours walking at Foote
Park and tending to her garden. She enjoyed watching sports that included
UCONN basketball, Red Sox, Football, she watched it all.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of her family.
