Obituary: Gregory Gauvin, 36, of Branford

A gifted musician, he was an Atlantic Diving & Welding Company welder/diver, and Stony Creek Fire Co., Marine 5 Rescue volunteer firefighter

Gregory Gauvin of Branford passed away on Friday July 8, 2022 at his home in Branford. He was the son of Gilbert and Deborah Gauvin of Branford and the brother of Jay Gauvin of Branford. He is also survived by his grandmother Julia Malewski, his aunt Susan Barba, his uncle Raymond Malewski (Diane), and his great aunt Joanne Morgan (James), as well as several cousins and friends.

Greg was born in New Haven on September 25, 1985. He received his Masters Degree in Music from UCONN and was an accomplished musician. He was also a welder and diver for the Atlantic Diving & Welding Company. He was a volunteer fireman for the Stony Creek Fire Company and Marine 5 Rescue.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 at St. George Church in Guilford. Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-7 P.M. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St. Branford.
