Obituary: Gregory J. Stout, 61, of Branford

Gregory J. Stout, 61, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 in Branford, CT.

Born August 18, 1954 to the late Marie (DeFelice) Stout and Clarence F. Stout, Jr., Greg is survived by his sons, Derek (Jacqueline), Matthew and Mark; his grandchildren, Aidan and Meadow; and scores of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and godchildren.

He is predeceased his two brothers, Louis and Michael. Greg graduated from East Haven High School in 1972 and earned his bachelor's degree from Suffolk University.

A master carpenter and owner of Greg Stout Builders, whose work still dots the Connecticut shoreline, Greg was long rooted in the New Haven area, where he took the most pride not in his accomplishments but that of his sons and grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday morning at 11:30 in St. Mary's Church in Branford. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. There will be NO CALLING HOURS.
